Unity Lab Workshop - 25 April 2015
Last Night at the Jhb meetup I mentioned a Unity Lab that we would be running at Microsoft (Bryanston). Based on feedback most people were concerned that it was during the week. We are looking to move it to Saturday the 25th April to accommodate. I will update this post with the registration details once all the details have been finalised.
Here is the proposed agenda:
1. Quick Lap Around Unity 5 (30min)
2. Creating your first basic scene(1hr)
3. Introduction to Shaders and the Shader Pipeline (1hr)
4. Porting existing apps to Windows (Tablet, Phone, Xbox) (1hr)
5. Monetization (30min)
6. Publishing (30min)
7. Next steps and wrap up
This will be a full day event from 9am onwards. You will need to bring a laptop to work on during the day, if you want to bring an entire rig that's also ok. This is intended for people with little to no experience in Unity but some experience with programming (C# preferably). This is intended to be a walk through and hands on. Don't stress if you don't have all the items installed we will provide everything you need including food :)
If you are interested please keep an eye out for the registration links.

We need to make sure that we cater for the right amount of people. Yes free food :)
And as to not make this a complete joke post. What's the scene in DBN like these days? Do you think something like this workshop would be viable down there?
@DaveRussellSA - Great, thanks!
EDIT: I'm good for 25th of April
I started making a game during it with primitives XD But that takes nothing away from the great content.
Now I really want to know how to write the Sims pixellation shader XD
Looking forward to the next one!
Met awesome people (connections). LOL.
Rock on peeps!
