edited in Events
AlterConf is a conference for people talking about diversity In the tech and gaming industries.

Let's do this, Cape Town.

Right now, we need all the things, venue, sponsorship, speakers, volunteers.
If you can contribute in anyway, please speak up.

If you want to make this happen, but don't know yet what you can do, speak up also. It's still very much at a "bringing ideas to the table" stage and even just saying you want this thing to actually happen will help.

  • I "want to make this happen, but don't know yet what [I] can do". Speaking up.
I'm following the crazy twitter thread, but I don't want to add another long name to that list of mentions; It seems crowded enough as it is.
  • ikr! I feel the same.

I want to do everything I can to make this happen and make it useful for people, but I don't know what I can do.

I'd even speak, if I knew people wanted to hear something from me. I can share my experiences of being a woman in tech in SA if people would find it valuable?

  • So how much is actually needed or otherwise? I can probably help, but I *need* to know what I'm asking for
  • @damousey being new to the industry and having almost immediately experienced some interesting events that has taught me a lot about how we all interact with new and unprecedented ideas, I'd be very interested in hearing more about what the experience is usually like. Keen to contribute too.
  • @LexAquilla no idea as yet, still trying to figure out if there is another conversation about this, and then where/who it is.

Here is a talk wishlist (which seems a bit more western worldview based re things like bandwidth, we might need to build our own equal) http://www.alterconf.com/talk-wishlist

  • Any idea what happened to this?
